The research group of the National Laser-Initiated Transmutation Laboratory at the University of Szeged has demonstrated that neutron radiation can be produced even with low-energy laser pulses. The experiments were conducted at ELI ALPS Laser Research Institute.

Romania received unanimous support as a Founding Observer in ELI ERIC. This decision opens a new chapter in the alliance, laying the groundwork for Romania's ELI NP facility to integrate into the ELI ERIC organisation over the next three years.

November 27 is the National Blood Donors Day in Hungary. On this occasion the Hungarian Red Cross and the Hungarian National Blood Transfusion Service recognize multiple blood donors, blood donation friendly workplaces and supporters of the donation.

Hungarian researchers have made significant progress in examining the properties of the so-called hot electrons found in metals. In the future, their results can be used in important areas such as the development of solar cells and nanoscale circuits, and the improvement of the sensitivity of various sensors.

The Extreme Light Infrastructure ERIC (ELI ERIC) and Institute of Physics (FZU) of the Czech Academy of Sciences have signed agreements to integrate the Beamlines Facility into ELI ERIC. The 6th ELI ERIC General Assembly (GA) approved the agreements and endorsed key policies critical for future operations of ELI ERIC.

The Joint ELI User Meeting will take place from 2-4 November 2022 with a central Plenary Day, 3 November 2022. The meeting will be hosted in person at the ELI Facilities, with streaming options connecting the main programme and opportunities to participate in sessions at all locations.
