The Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) is the result of an ambitious European vision. It is the world’s premier research infrastructure for scientists to access the most advanced and intense lasers in the world. The ELI Facilities increase Europe’s global leadership of this strategic technology. The European Strategic Forum for Research Infrastructure (ESFRI) first recognised ELI’s importance in 2006. After 15 years, ELI was formally established as a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) on April 30, 2021.
The Annual Report about ELI - Extreme Light Infrastructure's first year as an ERIC is out now with insightful updates about:
- available laser systems and research collaborations
- international projects
- operations and the status of the integration of the ELI Facilities
